Grant Parish
Business Resource
Development Center Project
Renovations will allow this building to be placed back in service! Funds from the Delta Regional Authority and Louisiana Capital Outlay are being utilized by the Grant Parish Police Jury to make renovations to 'save' the structure.
Though a long-term interest, these resources will let the Parish build on past efforts. The roof had been replaced, structure examined, and renovation design is being revisited to assure the most cost effective and appropriate design with available funds.
It will take some time, but the Grant Parish Police Jury is revitalizing their corner at Colfax (Main Street and Hwy 1200).
The Old Bank Building has had its windows sealed to prevent undue weather deterioration while they proceed with substantial renovations to save the exterior and reconstruct a useable facility!
In addition to being a center for development and employment, the physical renovations and addition of services to Grant Parish will also contribute to Colfax's revitalization interests for business development.
This project is anticipated to provide physical and social opportunities for public sector (government, education, workforce development, and non-profit) to provide a 'vehicle' for entrepreneurship, private sector investment and job creation.
